ORIGIN:
Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, New-Zealand
DESCRIPTION :
Cylindrical form with a length of 20 to 30 cm
The fruit grows with the stem directly attached to the tree trunk
Green skin which becomes yellow during the ripening process
Succulent, yellow, seedless pulp
CONSUMPTION:
The babaco has a fresh, bittersweet taste, like a combination of strawberry and melon
The skin is edible but can also be removed if preferred.
STORAGE:
In a cool place. Unripe fruit can be stored for several weeks, ripe fruit for a few days.
