A ripe avocado is relatively firm, but will yield to gentle pressure when held in the palm of the hand and squeezed


Avocado is nearly only eaten as unprocessed fruit , it is delicious in combination with crab, ham or chicken.


Guacamole is pulp made of spiced avocado.

Avocado Tuna rolls


  • 2 ripe avocado's
  • 1 small can tuna in brine
  • 1 red onion, cut fine
  • 2 table spoons lemon juice
  • salt, pepper, garlic
  • 4 lettuce leafs



Cut the avocado's in half, remove the pit and take out the flesh. Mash the flesh and season with salt, pepper, garlic and lemon juice. Mix this with the tuna. Fill the lettuce leafs on one side with the mixture and roll up the leafs, fixing them with a tooth pick.
